Interaction with Guests
I am a laid-back host willing to help with your trip but will absolutely respect your space and privacy. Some guests like to have a drink together on the patio. Others need peace and quiet just to relax and chill. I have been a gay activist and scholar since the late 1960's and am writing my memoirs. I welcome input, but your privacy will be respected if you just want to hang out at the pool or read and listen to music in the salon.
Getting Around
Direct route by taxi (tell driver) or car. 20 minute cab ($20) from airport. Shuttle service cheaper. No public transportation. By car: take "East Valley Cities" exit at airport onto 202 East; exit at first exit, priest; turn left at light; continue straight for entire drive, over mountain past main streets until street becomes 64th street and ends at light at Indian School Road; turn right and then first right south into 68th street; pass another Pueblo Way (not mine!) by Valley Ho hotel and first and second streets; after third street, next right into Pueblo Way. Second white house with vines on left. 3508 N. Pueblo Way. 2 short blocks nw of 68th and Osborn streets. Not the other Pueblo Way by 68th and Indian School.
Magnificent Arizona scenery by day-trips in car. Deserts, Spanish missions and Indian ruins in the south; and forests, ski resorts and Grand Canyon in the north. Rental car almost essential in July and August. Intense heat to 48 (118) degrees.
